Durigan will travel to the USA to discuss the classification of factions as terrorists

SÃO PAULO, June 1 (Reuters) – Finance Minister Dario Durigan said this Monday that he will have meetings this week with authorities from the United States to discuss the North American government’s decision to designate the criminal factions Primeiro Comando da Capital (PCC) and Comando Vermelho (CV) as international terrorist organizations.

In an interview with CBN radio, ⁠Durigan said ​that ​the designation by the ⁠US government could lead to sanctions on ​Brazilian financial institutions and, ​even, ⁠impact on the use of ⁠Pix by the Brazilian population.
