The President of the United States, Donald Trump stated this Monday (1st) that he convinced Israel and Hezbollah to reduce tension and that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu agreed not to send troops to Beirut, while the pro-Iran Lebanese group Hezbollah pledged to stop the attacks.
“There will be no troops heading to Beirut, and any troops that were on the way have already been withdrawn,” Trump wrote on his social media site Truth Social after a “very productive” call with Netanyahu.
“Likewise, through high-level representatives, I had a very good conversation with Hezbollah, and they agreed that they will cease all fighting; that Israel will not attack them and they will not attack Israel,” he added.
“The conversations continue, at a fast pacewith the Islamic Republic of Iran. Thank you for your attention to this matter!”, wrote Trump.
