Offspring of the northern rockhopper penguins at Schönbrunn Zoo in Vienna

Ten rockhopper penguins hatched in Vienna’s Schönbrunn Zoo in April. Now they are getting closer to the water in the polarium, as the zoo announced in a broadcast on Tuesday. The offspring were first looked after by the parents before the animal care team fed them in a separate area and weighed them regularly. In the future, the young birds will move to their own area with access to water near the colony.
