Vienna – The Social Committee of the National Council gave the green light on Tuesday for the government’s planned support fund for single parents. Up to 35 million euros per year should be available to provide financial relief for single parents who receive neither maintenance nor advance maintenance payments for their children. The government proposal was accepted in the form of a comprehensive amendment, the parliamentary correspondence reported.
