Four people died on Thursday after a small plane crashed near the popular seaside resort of Medulin on the southern tip of the Istrian peninsula in Croatia. Two people are still missing. TASR informs about this according to a report by the AFP agency and the Večernji.hr portal.

The Istrian police received a report about the crash of a smaller plane in the area of Medulin at 11:25 a.m. Rescuers, firefighters and police units were immediately dispatched to the scene. said police spokesman Alen Pačič. He confirmed that there were several casualties.
According to unofficial information from the 24sata portal, at least four people were killed. They were all on board a small plane bound for the city of Pula. The machine, however, for reasons still unknown crashed into an uninhabited area on the administrative line between the city of Pula and the district of Medulin. According to Croatian media, the search for two people is still ongoing.
There is a sports airport in Medulin, and according to the statements of the pilot Nijaz Delič, the plane was supposed to land at the mentioned airport. According to the media, the pilot who was flying the plane was experienced, but for unknown reasons before the crash, he performed a spiral maneuver, after which the plane crashed headlong.
The media brought information according to which the plane arrived from Austria and the flight was not reported, writes Večernji. According to some reports, the plane was from Germany. The machine broke in half after the impact, delivered by the portal.
