Big tech will pay US$920 million per month, from October 2026 until June 2029, to Elon Musk’s company
SpaceX has entered into a cloud services agreement with Alphabet’s Google. Elon Musk’s company will rent data center capacity, expanding its artificial intelligence business. The information is contained in a document sent to the United States Securities and Exchange Commission on Friday (June 5, 2026).
According to the document, Google will pay US$920 million per month, from October 2026 to June 2029. Read the text (JPG – 116 kB, in English).
Under the agreement, Google will be able to access around 110,000 Nvidia GPUs – chips used in artificial intelligence –, as well as processors, memory and other hardware components.
Alphabet will retain ownership and intellectual rights to its content, AI models and related data.
If SpaceX is unable to guarantee access to the committed quantity by September 30, 2026, Google may terminate the contract, after a one-month grace period.
“After December 31, 2026, the contract may be terminated by either party with 90 days’ notice”the document states.
In May, SpaceX signed a billion-dollar contract with , creator of the artificial intelligence model, to provide AI infrastructure.
Anthropic will pay around US$15 billion per year to have access to Elon Musk’s company’s GPUs and data centers.
