The President of the United States, Donald Trump, stated that Iran needs to “return to the negotiating table and reach a deal” after the missile attacks against Israel this Sunday (7).
“That’s certainly not going to help the negotiations,” Trump told Fox News.
“We are very close. I would say an agreement would be signed on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday of next week. And then that happens,” he said.
“You launched your missiles, that’s enough. Go back to the negotiating table and make a deal,” he added.
The president also told Axios that he intends to call Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and ask him not to attack Iran in retaliation.
Trump also stated in interviews that he was “not satisfied” with the Israeli attacks on Beirut on Sunday.

Last week, Iran threatened to attack Israel directly if it carried out attacks on Beirut. Earlier this Sunday, Israel attacked the Lebanese capital in response to Hezbollah fire on northern Israel.
