The company carried out search and seizure measures this Monday (8) at the addresses of a judge removed from the Mato Grosso Court of Justice, suspected of participating in a judicial scheme.
The warrants were issued by the (Superior Court of Justice). The operation, according to the PF, aims to deepen “investigations related to the alleged commercialization of judicial decisions and the practice of money laundering” at the TJ-MT.
The magistrate who is the target of the measure, who was removed from office by the (National Council of Justice) in March. State deputy Faissal Calil (PL) was also targeted. The report tries to locate the defenses of both.
The investigations attempt to identify whether there are suspicions of passive corruption, administrative advocacy and money laundering.
The investigation was initiated after extracting data from cell phones of those being investigated and sharing information with the CNJ, which highlighted the possibility that the judge used the parliamentarian as his financial operator to receive amounts improperly.
The PF says that there are suspicions of “settlement of family liabilities and simulated real estate triangulations with third parties (“scams”). The conduct sought to give the appearance of lawfulness to the benefit of crimes.”
“Advanced banking analysis has uncovered a large marginal and parallel movement, including the transit of amounts in cash that exceed R$ 3.2 million in deposits and withdrawals”, says the PF, in a note.
“The investigation also pointed out transfers without justified negotiation support, originating from agribusiness companies that had agrarian disputes pending in court.”
In March, Dirceu was removed by the CNJ, which pointed out that he had handled more than R$14.6 million in the last five years.
According to the council, the breach of the judge’s banking and tax secrecy showed a variation in assets “at a level incompatible” with the judge’s income.
At the time, the Mato Grosso Court of Justice stated, via email, that it cooperates with the investigations.
