The Israeli army destroyed three rockets fired from Lebanon to the north of Israel. The attack set off sirens near the border and is raising tensions with the Hezbollah movement.
On Monday, the Israeli army neutralized three rockets fired at the north of Israel from the territory of Lebanon. The army specified that the ammunition targeted Israeli troops operating in southern Lebanon. TASR informs about it according to the report of the AFP agency.
Two projectiles were intercepted before they entered Israeli airspace. Another projectile landed in the territory of Lebanon near the soldiers of the Israeli army, causing no injuries to any of them.
Alarm in the north of Israel
This rocket fire triggered warning sirens in the town of Kiryat Shmona and surrounding villages in northern Israel on the border with Lebanon.
News website The Times of Israel (TOI) reported that the attack, attributed to Lebanon’s pro-Iranian movement Hezbollah, came shortly after Lebanese media reported Israeli attacks in southern Lebanon.
Iran has previously warned that it will respond to any further “aggression” by Israel in Lebanon, including in the south of the country.
