Trump says Iran’s military is in “complete chaos”

The President of the United States, (Republican), declared this Wednesday (June 10, 2026) that the Armed Forces of the United States are in “complete chaos”. The statement was published on social media after a new military escalation between Washington and Tehran in the Middle East.

“Iran’s Armed Forces are in complete chaos. Most of them, like the Navy and the Air Force, don’t even exist anymore – they were completely defeated. Iran just talks and doesn’t act. The Middle Eastern bully DIED!!! They took too long to negotiate an agreement that would have been great for them, now they’re going to pay the price!!!”Trump wrote.

The American president did not detail what the consequences mentioned in the publication would be. The statement was made one day after the United States announced a new offensive against Iranian targets.

According to the US government, the operation was motivated by . Central Command reported that around 20 Iranian targets were hit during an action that lasted approximately four hours.

In response, the IRGC (Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps) claimed to have launched missiles and drones against American military bases in Jordan, Kuwait and Bahrain. The group said the offensive was in retaliation for attacks carried out by the United States.

Attacks hamper peace agreement

The new exchange of attacks represents one of the biggest escalations since the ceasefire signed between the 2 countries in early April. The clashes also increase uncertainty over negotiations to reopen the Strait of Hormuz and end the American blockade of Iranian ports.

Trump again stated that a peace agreement was close and said that any understanding should prevent Iran from developing nuclear weapons. Tehran denies having this objective and conditions an agreement on the end of international sanctions, the release of frozen assets and the recognition of its control over the strait.

Despite rounds of indirect negotiations mediated by Pakistan and Qatar, the two sides remain far from reaching an understanding. Meanwhile, Iran maintains restrictions on navigation in the Strait of Hormuz and the United States maintains the blockade of Iranian ports.
