„The moment I finished the first demo, I knew that I had just written something very fundamental for me and that there was no turning back. I felt like I’ve been waiting for this song all these years since I’ve been writing songs,” admits ALYA.
In it, the singer captures several of her positions – from determination and inner strength to fragility and vulnerability. It is this combination that makes OKAY the closest song of all the songs on the album.
„To this day it is my favorite from the album. I always say that I am very grateful that I was able to finish it before someone else got hold of the idea. If I heard it from another performer on the Czech-Slovak scene, I would probably envy him.” he says with a smile.
Musically, it is a carefully constructed composition that gradually develops from an energetic introduction to an emotional finale. The atmosphere is completed by the use of the entire range of the singer’s voice, vocoder elements and strong production. ALYA collaborated with the producer again on the musical side of the song Max Miklošwith whom he has formed a successful creative tandem for a long time.
With the release of the song comes a visually spectacular video clip, which took almost four months to prepare. Filmed in Bratislava Refinery Gallery with the participation of a large crew and sixteen dancers.
The preparations were extremely difficult. In addition to regular dance training, ALYA also underwent stunt training to master all movement sequences. She even ended up having an X-ray the day before filming. “During the preparations, I thought I might have broken my leg. Fortunately, it turned out to be just a torn fascia. Nevertheless, we successfully shot the clip and I think the result is really worth it.” he mentions.
The director is signed below the visual Juraj Škulawhile he took care of the choreography and movement coordination Simon Shinka. The result is a visually impressive processing that enhances the mood of the song and underlines its strong message.
OKAY is another sample from the upcoming album I’M HAVINGon which ALYA continues to connect modern pop, dance energy and personal statements. It is with this combination that in recent years he has been gaining more and more attention from the audience and music experts, and confirms that he belongs to the most outstanding young talents of the domestic scene.
ALYA, whose real name is Angelika Kollmannová, comes from a musical family and has been involved in music since childhood. Since 2023, she has been active on the Slovak music scene, where she collaborated with artists such as Ego, Majself and Alan Murin. Her work is characterized by a combination of modern production, strong lyrics and authentic emotions. New single OKAY at the same time, it represents the most comprehensive view of her artistic personality to date and hints at what listeners can expect from the forthcoming album.
