Vienna/St. Pölten/Linz – The 2026 Football World Cup will bring fans a long duration – five and a half weeks instead of the previous four -, many games – more than 100 – with “hit matches” such as Saudi Arabia against Cape Verde and starting times from the main evening program to breakfast television. In many cases, these were not good conditions for public viewing operators in Austria. Numerous events known from past football events will not take place.
