Eliasch voted out by the narrowest of margins: Ospelt new FIS president

Belgrade – The controversial Johan Eliasch was voted out as president of the International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS) on Thursday with a very narrow outcome. The voting member associations at the congress in Belgrade chose Alexander Ospelt from Liechtenstein as the successor to the Swedish-British-Georgian multi-billionaire. The vote was 65:64 in favor of the 58-year-old lawyer Ospelt.
