The last opening of the 2026 World Cup took place in the presence of Brazilian singer Anittawhich was one of the attractions on Friday night (12) at the Sofi Stadium, in Los Angeles, USA. The artist sang alongside K-pop star Lisa and Nigerian Rema.
Rapper Future and singer Tayla were also present at the event. The show took place before the home team’s debut match against Paraguay, in Group D.
Dressed in white, Anitta, Lisa and Rema sang “Goals”. The Brazilian was greatly applauded by fans at the Los Angeles stadium.
Before the singer from Brazil, the first artists to perform on the field were South African Tyla and rapper Future. They sang the song “game time”, which is part of the official World Cup album.
Singer Katy Perryjust before an hour before the game, performed “Wonder” alongside young Norwegian singer Tius Luka. The ceremony was led by actor Jason Sudeikis, who played the character Ted Lasso in the football comedy series of the same name. The event began with the parade of the flags of the 48 countries competing in the World Cup.
Finally, the national anthems were performed by the country duo Dan and Shay and the Paraguayan group Purahei Soul.
