Maybe you know the pain, maybe you’ve been lucky so far. You are trying to grow something that grows for everyone. But in vain. “Many plants and vegetables grow without problems. All they need is a little moisture and nutrients,” says Vlastimil Šindelář in the iReceptář podcast. “But they never grow where they just don’t like it.”
You can listen to the audio version of the podcast here:
It can be parsley, but also any other plant. Perennial or annual, ornamental or useful. In short, anything you’ve been trying to sow in vain for years. You already know that you neither have unsuitable soil nor care enough. But in short, where you would like to have it, not and not caught. “It can refer to any weed, although I don’t really like the label,” says gardener Vlastimil Šindelář in the podcast consultation, which we filmed live at Flora Olomouc.
No weeds
Maybe it’s because we’ve gotten used to managing our gardens too much. And we think that nature will always submit to us. But the opposite is true. “Don’t try to force a plant, like parsley or dill, somewhere it doesn’t like. It simply won’t grow even the least demanding piece,” confirms the gardener. According to him, it’s much easier to let her make her own choice. According to him, there is a suitable place for most plants in every garden. You just need to choose a slightly unconventional solution.
Throw and wait
Not a rod or a rod, but seeds. As strange as it sounds, this method has been proven by the gardener for years. “In my opinion, weed doesn’t really exist. It’s just a plant that grows where you don’t want it,” explains Vlastimil Šindelář. “But if you accept that she likes this place, she can be there forever.”
So take it from the opposite end. For once, sacrifice a bag of seeds and scatter them around the garden. When they grow up, you will easily find out where the right place was.
