A restaurant manager in London avoided a tragedy by managing to support a girl who fell from the balcony of an upper-floor apartment. The man said he acted on “pure instinct” when he saw the child hanging on the edge of the balcony, running to position himself underneath and break his fall. The heroic gesture is being widely praised on social media.
