The threatened reduction of multi-year funding from the City of Vienna to one-year funding has caused a lot of uncertainty in the cultural scene since the beginning of June. Commentators complained about a step backwards from the achievements that institutions and artists had achieved as a result of the Vienna theater reform in 2003, namely planning security.
