US and Iran close deal that creates billion-dollar fund

According to the news agency, the agreement between Iran and the US will include the creation of a private fund worth US$300 billion to encourage investments in Iranian territory. More than half of the amount would already be committed to rebuilding the country.

The fund will not have public resources. According to the agency, Arab companies from the Gulf, Asia, South America and Africa have promised to finance the project.

The financing is seen by Washington and Tehran as an economic incentive to seal the final pact and should be directed to the energy, logistics, manufacturing and transport sectors.

The North American government announced that the parties last Sunday (June 14, 2026). The expectation is that the document will be signed on Friday (June 19, 2026).
