Hodgkin’s Lymphoma is a type of cancer that affects the lymphatic system. Since discovering the disease, Parreira has been going through chemotherapy sessions.

In addition to winning Tetra in charge of the national team, Parreira was Zagallo’s assistant in winning the Tri in 1970 and coached Brazil in the 2006 World Cup. He also coached Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait and South Africa in World Cups.

Throughout his career, Parreira led clubs in Brazil and abroad. In Brazilian football, he coached teams such as Fluminense, Corinthians, São Paulo, Santos and Atlético-MG.
