Datafolha: Electoral survey is released this Saturday – 06/19/2026 – Politics

A new survey will be released this Saturday (20) with voting intentions for President of the Republic and the government’s assessment ().

Data collection began last Wednesday (17), and is expected to be completed this Friday (19). In total, 2,004 interviews are planned with Brazilian voters aged 16 or over in population flow points.

In the last survey, Lula appeared in the lead alone in the first round simulation, with 40%, and was ahead of the 31% of (), his main opponent in the dispute for Palácio do Planalto.

In the most likely scenario of a second round, between the PT and PL pre-candidates, the PT member scored 47%, against 43% for the former president’s son (PL).

This month, in addition to Lula and Flávio, Datafolha tests the names of (), (), (Missão), Joaquim Barbosa (DC), (), (Mobiliza), Hertz Dias (PSTU), Rui Costa Pimenta (PCO), Samara Martins (UP), () and Edmilson Costa (PCB).

The maximum expected margin of error is plus or minus 2 percentage points, considering a 95% confidence level.

The research is registered with the (Superior Electoral Court) under code BR-09956/2026.

The May survey had been the institute’s first carried out in its entirety after the revelations about the case of the film “Dark Horse”, in which Flávio asked the former banker for money to finance a film about his father, (PL).

Electoral survey data should not be understood as predictions for the final outcome of elections. They serve as a thermometer for voter opinion at the time the survey is carried out.
