Vienna – With light cavalry into a light and airy evening. After the interim calamities surrounding the funding, the Vienna Philharmonic celebrated their traditional summer night concert in front of Schönbrunn Palace on Friday evening – and started with Franz von Suppès’s overture to “Leight Cavalry”. What followed was an unusually colorful program between musicals, operettas and ballets with bass-baritone Bryn Terfel as vocal support.
