Real Time: Juliana Brizola records 37% and Zucco 32% in the race for Rio Grande do Sul government

Former state deputy Juliana Brizola (PDT) leads the first round dispute for the government of Rio Grande do Sul with 37% of voting intentions. This is what the Real Time Big Data survey, released this Tuesday (23), points out.

According to the survey, in second place is federal deputy Luciano Zucco (PL), with 32%, while the state’s vice-governor, Gabriel Souza (MDB), scores 18%. Lastly, the former mayor of Guaíba, Marcelo Maranata (PSDB), appears with 3%. In this scenario, blanks and nulls make up 5%, as do the undecided.

The Pedestrian also leads numerically in all second round scenarios, but is technically tied against Luciano Zucco. Check it out:

  • Undecided – 8%

2nd scenario:

  • Juliana Brizola (PDT) – 47%
  • Gabriel Souza (MDB) – 35%
  • Blanks and nulls – 8%
  • Undecided – 10%

3rd scenario:

  • Juliana Brizola (PDT) – 49%
  • Marcelo Maranata (PSDB) – 27%
  • Blanks and nulls – 9%
  • Undecided – 15%

4th scenario:

  • Luciano Zucco (PL) – 42%
  • Gabriel Souza (MDB) – 37%
  • Blanks and nulls – 9%
  • Undecided – 12%

5th scenario:

  • Marcelo Maranata (PSDB) – 30%
  • Blanks and nulls – 10%
  • Undecided – 15%

The last scenario tested by the research, between Souza and Maranata, shows an increase in the number of undecided voters and abstention votes.

6th scenario:

  • Gabriel Souza (MDB) – 38%
  • Marcelo Maranata (PSDB) – 32%
  • Blanks and nulls – 11%
  • Undecided – 19%

To reach this result, the Real Time Big Data Institute interviewed 1,600 voters, between the 20th and 22nd of July. The margin of error is 2 percentage points, plus or minus. The survey is registered with the Superior Electoral Court under number RS-07063/2026.
