The Brazilian team faced a climatic setback this Tuesday (23) during the trip from New Jersey to Miami, where they will face Scotland this Wednesday (24), in the final round of the group stage of the World Cup. Due to bad weather, the delegation’s plane took more than two and a half hours to receive takeoff authorization.

Players and coaching staff remained on board the aircraft throughout this period. The flight, scheduled for 3:10 pm (Brasília time), only took off at 5:45 pm. Arrival in Fort Lauderdale, initially estimated at 6 pm, was now only scheduled for 8:45 pm.

As a result, there was also a change in the time of the press conference between coach Carlo Ancelotti and Matheus Cunha. The conversation with the press, scheduled for 8:15 pm at the Hard Rock Stadium, was rescheduled by FIFA for 9:30 pm.

The CBF (Brazilian Football Confederation), however, asked the entity to cancel the press conference. The request is still under analysis.

Brazil and Scotland face each other this Wednesday (24), at 7pm (Brasília time), at the Hard Rock Stadium. Before traveling to Miami, the Brazilian team trained in the morning at the Columbia Park training center in Morristown, New Jersey, where the team is based during the World Cup.
