Vienna – The coalition of ÖVP, SPÖ and Neos wants to shorten the first phase of specialist training by three months. On Tuesday, the government factions in the Health Committee submitted a corresponding amendment to the Medical Act. As a result, the duration of basic training will shrink from nine to six months from August 1, the parliamentary correspondence reported.
