New York – Google subsidiary YouTube has settled a lawsuit filed by a minor who accused the platform of harming his mental health. The plaintiff’s lawyers announced this on Tuesday. It was agreed not to disclose the terms of the out-of-court settlement. “Our focus remains on developing age-appropriate products and parental controls,” said a Google spokesperson. The plaintiff’s lawyers, however, said: “YouTube’s decision to settle this case before it faces a jury speaks for itself.”
