Next come the teams from France, with 15.04%, and Spain, with a 12.48% chance of lifting the cup.
Despite being overtaken by the South Americans, the French saw their chances of winning the World Cup advancing. The Spanish had a decline in their chances of winning their second title.
Until Monday (22), the probability ranking was led by Spain, with 14.04%. Next came the French, with 13.90%. Argentines appeared in third place, with 12.48%.
The movement towards more favorable projections for Argentina comes in the wake of Lionel Messi’s achievement, on the same Monday.
Albiceleste’s number 10 scored twice against Austria and became the top scorer in World Cups, reaching 18 goals and surpassing German Miroslav Klose, with 16.
The Brazilian team appears in eighth place, with a 4.56% chance — behind Norway, Germany, Portugal and England, in addition to those already mentioned in the top 3.
