In tears, Rúben Neves admits that “it was very difficult” to deal with the loss of his friend and also recalled: “The day after the news, for me, is the most difficult day of my life. The most important aspect for me to be able to play was that I wanted to play for Diogo first, and then knowing that Débora was there”realized.
Asked if, in his mind, he spoke to Diogo Jota that day, Rúben Neves assumed: “I still talk to him, few people know that. We have a group on Whatsapp, with Rute and Diogo, it’s still there and we continue to talk there. And whenever something special happens, I have the conversations archived on my Whatsapp because I continue to send him messages”realized.
