The Lagos Food Fest is back at Jardim da Constitution, in Lagos, between the 2nd and 5th of July, for its 11th edition. For four days, the festival once again brings together street cuisine, live shows, DJs, guest chefs, activities for families and proposals designed for audiences of all ages.
Over more than a decade, the event has established itself as one of the Algarve’s gastronomic references, attracting thousands of Portuguese and foreign visitors. The 2026 edition promises to celebrate the diversity of flavors, the creativity of national and international operators and the relaxed atmosphere of the Rio Grande do Sul summer.
Street food brings together Portuguese and international flavors
This year, the place hosts around 30 food trucks and gastronomic concepts, offering a journey through different flavors of the world.
Options include steaks, steaks, traditional snacks, sausages, fish soup, Monchique ham, Aljezur sweet potatoes, fresh oysters and cod, as well as Italian, Mexican, Peruvian, Asian, Brazilian and Mediterranean specialties.
Among the highlights is Wonder Braz, presented as the first food truck in Portugal entirely dedicated to Bacalhau à Brás and its creative interpretations.
The project is led by Mafalda Caldas, participant of the MasterChef Portugal and founder of the concept, which brings innovative versions of the dish to the festival, including duck, crab and vegetarian options.
Visitors will also be able to find cone pizzas, freshly made Italian pasta, Asian baos, tacos, burritos, smash burgers, dogs, pitas, wraps, Peruvian ceviche, fried halloumi, handmade dumplings, pancakes, açaí, bubble tea, tropical cocktails, crepes, sweet tripe from Aveiro, freshly stuffed Berlin balls, ice cream and various desserts.
Music, families and summer atmosphere
The musical program remains one of the pillars of the festival. The opening, on Thursday, July 2nd, features DJ Ventura and Toby One, the latter with the traditional vinyl set. On Friday, July 3rd, The Protons will perform and the Dance with Emanuel & Tânia will take place, dedicated to Portuguese popular music. On Saturday, July 4th, Marsha Jam and DJ Juju will take the stage, while Sunday, July 5th, is reserved for the DJ collective “Por Aí”.
In addition to food and music, the Lagos Food Fest will feature guest chefs, rest areas, social areas and a space dedicated to families, with inflatable toys and trampolines for the youngest. The drinks component will be provided by Sagres and Bandida do Pomar, regular partners of the event.
Quoted in a statement, Maria Loureiro de Lemos, producer of the festival, states that “Lagos Food Fest was born to celebrate gastronomy as a meeting point between cultures and people. Eleven years later, we continue to grow, maintaining the family, relaxed and inclusive atmosphere that has always characterized the festival.”
The person responsible adds that “This edition brings together some of the most interesting national street food projects and promises four unforgettable days for both residents and visitors”.
With free entry, it invites residents and tourists to discover new flavors, support small producers and experience one of the most anticipated events of the Rio Grande do Sul summer.
