Germany broke temperature records, in Saxony-Anhalt they measured 41.5 degrees Celsius

Germany is rewriting weather history. In Saxony-Anhalt, they measured 41.5 degrees, and meteorologists warn that temperatures may reach 42 degrees Celsius.

Germany recorded a new historical temperature record on Saturday. At the station in the state of Saxony-Anhalt, according to preliminary data, they measured 41.5 degrees Celsius. Referring to the German Meteorological Service (DWD), the AFP reported about it.

The previous record was only broken on Friday, when the temperature in the city of Saarbrücken in the state of Saarland reached 41.3 degrees Celsius. Previously, the record temperature lower by 0.1 degrees Celsius was recorded on July 25, 2019.

According to DWD, temperatures in Germany could jump up to 42 degrees Celsius on Saturday and Sunday. The current heat wave, which has broken several temperature records in Europe, is moving from the western part of the continent to its center and the Balkans.
