Colombia and Portugal draw and advance; DR Congo wins and achieves historic classification

Colombia drew 0-0 with Portugal this Saturday (27) and qualified for the round of 16 phase of the World Cup as leader of Group K.

The Colombians could have secured the victory in second-half stoppage time, but VAR disallowed Dávinson Sánchez’s header.

With seven points, the South American team finishes at the top of the group ahead of Portugal, who advanced in second with five points.

In the round of 16, Colombia will play against Ghana on July 4th in Kansas City, while the Portuguese team will face Croatia, the day before, in Toronto.

In the group’s other match, the Democratic Republic of Congo beat Uzbekistan and also secured a knockout stage. They will face England.
