Chicory root is a natural source of inulin, a soluble fiber that serves as food for beneficial gut bacteria. This is why chicory coffee is often associated with the support of healthy intestinal microflora.
Chicory Iced Coffee Recipe
Raw materials:
- 2 teaspoons of instant chicory coffee
- 250 ml of hot water
- 100 ml of milk or vegetable drink
- a few ice cubes
- 1 teaspoon of honey or chicory syrup
Procedure:
Pour hot water over the chicory coffee and stir well to dissolve completely. If you want to sweeten the drink, add honey or chicory syrup to the warm coffee.
Allow the drink to cool to room temperature. Then fill a tall glass with ice cubes, add chicory coffee and top up with milk or herbal drink.
It tastes good even without milk
You can also drink chicory coffee on its own or flavor it with a few drops of lemon juice. In the summer, it represents a pleasant refreshment without caffeine.
