Budapest/Brussels – For the first time in Hungarian history, judges demonstrated this Saturday in Budapest for the independence of the judiciary. According to media reports, several thousand people took part. The protest march led from Kossuth-Platz to the Ministry of Justice. Tables with the inscription “No freedom without an independent judiciary” should remind of the judges’ claims. They demand freedom of judicial expression and worthy remuneration.
