PIS/PASEP: See how to access old background withdrawal platform

The government has launched a new platform for workers and its heirs to consult and withdraw forgotten money from the old PIS/Pasep background.

Now, anyone who has worked with a formal contract or as a public servant between 1971 and 1988 can check if they have values receivable in. If the holder has already died, the heirs may also make the request.

According to the farm, The first reimbursement will be paid on the 28th.

The new tool was created by the Ministry of Finance to simplify access to money that has not yet been withdrawn. The idea is for it to work similarly to the Central Bank (BC) value system, where people can check if they have forgotten money on banks.

Who can withdraw

They can withdraw workers who had a formal contract or were public servants between 1971 and 1988 and have not yet removed their quotas from the fund. If the person has already passed away, the legal heirs may apply for the value.

Repis Citizen has nothing to do with the PIS/Pasep salary allowance, which is paid annually to low-income workers who worked in the previous base year.

How to access

To enter the citizen, the Worker or heir will need to have a silver or gold level portal. The platform will unify the information for the withdrawal of money, with specific guidelines for heirs or legal beneficiaries.

In addition to the new website, the Consultation continues to be made in the FGTS applicationfrom Caixa Econômica Federal.

Last year, the Brazil agency It showed that the delay in the development of the technology platform had paralyzed withdrawals in the old PIS/Pasep fund, extinguished by 2020 and incorporated into the FGTS (FGTS) in the same year.

In August 2023, forgotten resources were transferred to the National Treasury to reinforce the government’s public accounts, as determined by the constitutional amendment of the transition.

An ordinance issued by the Ministry of Finance in June last year set the deadline for completion of the technological system that will operationalize the payments of quotas to the Treasury to the worker.

At the time, the folder also reported that Caixa Econômica will make payments after completion of the platform.

Necessary documents

If the withdrawal is requested by the holder himself, simply submit an official identification document.

If the quotas are required by heirs, dependents and successors, in addition to the official identification document, it is necessary to present the PIS/PASEP/FGTS certificate or grant letter – pension for social security death and its relationship of beneficiaries, issued by Social Security.

Successors may also present, in place of the concession letter, one of the following documents:

  • Declaration of dependents qualified to the pension issued by the benefit paying body;
  • Judicial authorization;
  • Public deed signed by all dependents and successors, if capable and agreement.

In the case of public deed, it is necessary to attest in writing the authorization of the withdrawal and declare that there are no other dependents or known successors.

Historic

The PIS/Pasep Fund emerged from the unification of PIS and Pasep programs in 1975 and operated until 2020, when it was extinguished.

Since 1989, the Fund has no longer received new deposits, and funds have been used to finance unemployment insurance, BNDES salary allowance. On May 31, 2020, the money in the background was transferred to FGTS.

Now, with the creation of Repis Citizen, the government wants to ensure that workers and their heirs have access to their right without bureaucracy.
