President of Brazil said that no one presented the minutes and that he “has no right to question” the Venezuelan Supreme Court
The president (PT) was asked by the senator (PSB-GO) if “It’s not time to ignore the [presidente da Venezuela] Maduro”. The question was asked during the hearing of the PODK Releasedyes RedeTV!this Sunday (10.nov.2024).
In response, Lula said that Nicolás Maduro “is aIt’s a problem for Venezuela, not Brazil.”.
“On the day the elections ended [venezuelanas]my envoy there, Celso Amorim, asked Maduro if he could deliver the minutes of the vote. He asked him and the opposition candidate […] The truth is that they both didn’t show it”he stated.
Lula also declared that he will not question the decision of the Venezuelan Supreme Court.
“He [Maduro] he should have presented the notes to the CNE (National Electoral Council) which was created by himself and which had 2 members from the opposition and 3 from the government. He didn’t show it and went straight to the Supreme Court.”these.
I don’t have the right to question the Supreme Court of another country, because I don’t want them to question mine [sic] supreme court”he added.
ELECTORAL DISPUTE IN VENEZUELA
The Maduro government’s opposition claims that Edmundo González (Democratic Unitary Platform) obtained (7,303,480 votes), against Maduro’s 30% (3,316,142 votes) – other candidates received 3% (267,640 votes).
One carried out by Walter Mebane, professor of political science at the University of Michigan (USA) and expert in detecting electoral fraud, concluded that there was no fraud in the electoral records released by the opposition.
The CNE announced that Maduro obtained 51.2% of the votes, against 44.2% for González.

Caracas classified Venezuela’s entry into Brics as an “aggression”. In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that Lula’s administration maintained “the worst” by Jair Bolsonaro (PL).

On Instagram, the official profile of the Venezuelan National Police on Instagram published one with a Brazilian flag in the background of Lula’s silhouette with his face and its contours blurred. The photo also has the phrase “Anyone who messes with Venezuela will be in trouble.”
