A Russian air strike left five children and teenagers between the ages of 4 and 17 injured in the city of Zaporizhzhia, in southwestern Ukraine, regional governors reported this Monday (11).
Reuters was unable to independently verify the reports. There was no immediate comment from Russia.
Also on Monday, the Ukrainian air force said it shot down two missiles during the night.
Kiev’s air force also reported that another 30 drones were lost in Ukrainian airspace and another three departed towards Belarus and territories temporarily occupied by Russia.
Both sides in the war deny targeting civilians in their attacks, but thousands of people have died since the war, the vast majority of them Ukrainians.
The regions of and most of the eastern half of Ukraine were under alert for air and overnight offensives, according to data from the Ukrainian air force.
