Three words were written on the bullets found at the scene of Brian Thompson’s murder: ‘denial’, ‘testimony’ and ‘defence’.
Authorities are looking into whether the words are a possible motive for the perpetrator, involving insurance companies and their delay or refusal to compensate their customers. The words were not engraved on the bullets, but carefully written with a pen, ABC News reports.
The timeline of the murder

Yesterday the New York Police Department released images of the suspect showing him at a Starbucks near the scene of the killing, 20 minutes before he executed Thompson.
According to police, Thompson had no security personnel when he was killed.
