German Development Minister Svenja Schulze emphasized Berlin’s efforts to help civilians in Ukraine on Thursday in the coming frosty months, reports TASR according to the DPA agency.
“I traveled to Ukraine to deliver our winter package,” said the minister immediately after arriving in the capital city of Kyiv. It said Russia had been targeted during the more than 1,000-day war cut off the power supply so that people are left sitting in the cold and in the dark. “That’s why we have again mobilized additional funds to help restore energy supplies,” she added.
