American Airlines has canceled all its flights to the US in the christmas eve for a “unspecified technical problem“, according to the Reuters agency.
The measure has surprised a huge number of airline users who have received the notification from American Airlines on their devices.
“And technical problem is affecting American flights this morning. Our teams are working to solve the problem as quickly as possible and we apologize to our customers for the inconvenience,” the company noted in a note collected by Reuters.
The US Federal Aviation Administration has confirmed the cancellation of flights operated by the company in another statement where it points out that “American Airlines reports a technical problem and has requested a land closure throughout the country“.
The first information suggests the possibility that the entity would have suffered a cyber attacksomething that American Airlines has not wanted to comment on at the moment.
