The union of numerous leaders and members of the Videira Church, in partnership with various sectors of the State Government, Rio Branco City Hall and private bodies, has taken several social actions to several neighborhoods in the capital of Acre in recent years.

Last Saturday, December 21st, the Cidade do Povo community was able to receive various services in the areas of health, education, legal and several others, benefiting around 800 people, who also celebrated the Solidarity Christmas held every year by the Videira Church .

Among the social action partners are Energisa, the Municipal Health Department (Semsa), which provided dental vans, rapid tests and vaccines; State Department of Health (Sesacre), with vaccines, Procon, State Public Ministry (MPE in the Community), State Department of Social Assistance and Human Rights (Seasdh), Women’s Department (Semulher), Fire Department, Civil Police, IFAC, with planetarium, 7th BEC, DETRAN, Escola de Música Tocando no Ritmo, volunteer doctors and several professionals from different segments of society.

“We understand that the church has a primary function in the community, which is to serve people, bring love and relief to them. Jesus Christ served people, and this is how we want to follow in the footsteps of the one who first loved us”, said the leader of the Videira Social Ministry, Fernanda Figueiredo.

This year, V Day featured a visit from the vice-governor of the state of Acre, Mailza Assis, who, in addition to supporting the solidarity action, made a point of participating in the event, greeting all the volunteers and families served during Saturday, 21, in the Cidade do Povo community.
