Noman was not present in person at the official event at the BH Chamber due to his low immunity due to undergoing cancer treatment in recent months. To avoid the spread of any infection that could worsen the situation, the head of the Executive Branch was instructed to participate in the event remotely. Wearing a mask and having difficulty speaking, Noman only took the oath and his speech was read by the vice-mayor, Álvaro Damião (União Brasil). The deputy became emotional when he read part of the speech in which Noman thanks God and the doctors who treated him.
