The action aims to dismantle the financial core of Comando Vermelho, including operators of a scheme that handled more than R$21 million in illicit transactions. To date, seven suspects have been arrested, including family members of drug leaders. The police are trying to execute 14 arrest warrants, issued by the 1st Specialized Criminal Court of the Rio de Janeiro Court of Justice. Among the targets is Edgar Alves de Andrade, known as Doca, identified as leader of the criminal group.
Doca is accused of commanding territorial invasion operations and ordering executions related to drug trafficking. Investigations revealed a sophisticated money laundering scheme, with nearly 5,000 financial transactions identified. The resources obtained are used to finance armaments, bribes and the territorial expansion of the Red Command.

To hinder the police advance, drug traffickers erected barricades, spread oil on the streets and improvised blockades with train tracks.
