After American consumers suffered repeated increases in gasoline prices due to the increase in international oil prices — in turn motivated by the consequences of the war in the Middle East — values began to fall this week.
According to daily monitoring by the American Automotive Association (AAA), the average price of a gallon of gasoline in the country reached an average of US$4.356, the lowest since April 30.
Prices hit US$4.560 per gallon on the 21st and then began to fall, since official news of a peace negotiation between the United States and Iran began to gain momentum.

The value is a country average, as prices remain very high in states with very high local taxes. In California, a gallon of gasoline has remained above US$6 for weeks, but in states like Indiana, Texas and Louisiana, it is possible to find gasoline for less than US$4 per gallon.
The average price of diesel in the United States is US$5,492.
