Billie Eilish, Lady Gaga and Rod Stewart are among the celebrities who will perform at a charity concert to raise funds for wildfire relief in the Los Angeles area. TASR informs about this according to Friday’s Sky News report.
Called FireAid, the event will take place at the same time on January 30 in two different locations and will feature a number of performers with ties to California, which is still battling massive and deadly wildfires.
The announced list of performers also includes Red Hot Chili Peppers, Joni Mitchell, Katy Perry, Gwen Stefani, Stevie Nicks, Pink, Sting, Green Day and others.
Some artists will perform in the Intuit Dome arena, others in the Kia Forum arena. Both locations are located in the Inglewood area of southwest Los Angeles County.
The concert will be broadcast live
All money raised from the FireAid benefit concert will go towards short-term relief and long-term initiatives aimed at preventing future wildfires throughout Southern California. All donations will be handled by the Annenberg Foundation charity, according to FireAid’s website.
Tickets for the concert go on sale on January 22nd at noon local time, with a ticket allowing entry to one event only. It is not yet known which performers will perform at each venue.
The concert will be streamed live on Apple Music, Apple TV, Max, iHeartRadio, KTLA+, Netflix/Tudum, Paramount+, Prime Video, Amazon Music Channel, SiriusXM, Spotify, SoundCloud, Veeps and YouTube.
The fires in the Pacific Palisades, Altadena and Pasadena areas have killed at least 27 since they broke out on January 8. Tens of thousands of people had to evacuate at the same time. Millions of dollars have already been donated to help people who lost their homes, including 2.5 million from the singer Beyoncé and 15 million from the Walt Disney Company.
