Musk, who was appointed by US President Donald Trump, to supervise the so-called government efficiency department, with the aim of dramatically reducing the size of the federal labor force, said that spending on the US government could be reduced in $ 1 trillion or more.
“Perhaps the economy can potentially grow to 4% or 5%, in terms of actual production of useful goods and services, and government spending can be reduced by about 3% or 4% of the economy, around perhaps 1 trillion of Dollars or more, and the net effect of this would be no inflation from 2025 to 2026, which would be quite remarkable, ”said Musk during the event.
