The president of Romania, Nicusor Dan, announced this Sunday that when it hit the city of Galati on Friday it was of Russian origin, as he confirmed “indisputable” and “unambiguously” the technical report that the researchers have concluded.

The investigation has identified the model name in Cyrillic characters. The electronic components, navigation systems, command modules, engine and construction elements analyzed “present similarities to the point of being identical” to those of other Geran-2 drones previously recovered in Romanian territory and “certainly identified as manufactured in the Russian Federation.”
The report also shows that the manufacturing marks, technical inscriptions, construction characteristics and materials used ““They follow the same technological process found in the Geran-2 drones analyzed in recent years” and “physical-chemical analyzes have confirmed the presence of the same types of materials and fuels repeatedly identified in devices of this series.”
