The Rio de Janeiro Military Police arrested two fugitive men of justice for murder with the aid of face recognition cameras in the Sambadrome region and in the city center, between last Friday (28) and Saturday (1st).
According to the State Government, after sending the warning made from the Integrated Control and Command Center, with images of the cameras, the two suspects were located by military police.
The first of these was on Friday night in the Sambadrome region, and the second amid the city center blocks selling drinks. Both were identified by the police system with warrants open for murder.
During the first weekend of Carnival in Rio de Janeiro ,. Among them, nine were arrested by the facial recognition system.
Police points out that since the facial recognition system was implemented, in December last year, 494 fugitives of justice were located and arrested.
