The Russian authorities have significantly expanded the list of representatives of the Member States and institutions of the European Union who have banned joining Russia, The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Moscow announced on Thursday. According to Reuters report, TASR reports this.
Russia has taken this step in response to the latest sanctions imposed by the Union on the country, The Ministry has specified. In February, the EU Foreign Ministers adopted a package of sanctions against Russia, which for the first time focused on the cryptomain exchange.
“The European Union, possessed by the idea of causing our country, continues to increase unilateral, in terms of international law illegitimate and restrictive measures against Russia,” It is stated in the Ministry’s statement according to TASS.
“In response to these hostile steps, the Russian side has significantly expanded the list of representatives of the European institutions and EU Member States who have … forbidden entry into the territory of our state,” the statement said. This applies, for example, representatives of security forces, state and commercial institutions of EU countries, citizens of European countries responsible for providing military aid to Ukraine, and implementing activities aimed at disrupting Russia’s territorial integrity.
