Government should put 6 names on the State Petorleira Decision Committee and keep the majority in the collegiate
It informed it on Thursday (13.mar.2025) which marked the election to the company’s board of directors. On the same date, the names for the state oil company’s fiscal council will also be chosen.
The government should be able to snap up 6 of the 11 seats in the main collegiate. The other vacancies are occupied by the nominees of minority shareholders and state workers.
In all, the president of the president (PT) presented 7 names to the board of directors and 1 to the presidency of the board. See below the list of names, with bold renewal:
- Pietro AdamSecretary of Oil of the Ministry of Mines and Energy (indicated to chair the Council);
- Magda ChambriardPresident of Petrobras;
- Bruno MorettiSecretary of Government Analysis of the Civil House;
- Rafael DubeuxAssistant Executive Secretary of the Ministry of Finance;
- Renato Campos Galippoformer legal advisor to the House of Representatives
- José Fernando Coura, former president of Fiemg (Federation of Industries of the State of Minas Gerais) and IBRAM (Brazilian Institute of Mining);
- Benjamin Alves Rabello Filho, lawyer;
- Ivanyra Maura de Medeiros Correia, engineer.
All government names that are already on the board must be elected. The only change is the absence of the current Secretary of Geology, Mining and Mineral Transformation of the Ministry of Mines and Energy, Vitor Saback, which today occupies a seat of the majority stock. For his place, who should enter is former president of FIEM and IBRAM, José Fernando Coura.
The current chairman of the board, Pietro Adamo must be reelected, but will not be in office. The secretary of the Minister of Mines and Energy, Alexandre Silveira, was nominated for the board of (National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels) and as soon as his name is approved in the Senate, he will leave the oil company. Who should assume the presidency in the absence of Pietro is Bruno Moretti.
Minority shareholders indicated 3 names to the Board of Directors, of which 2 must be elected. Counselor José João Abdalla Filho is expected to be reappointed, while Aloisio Macário and Thales Kroth compete for the place left by Marcelo Gasparino, who in February this year.
Francisco Petros and Jerônimo Antunes will follow as counselors elected by minority shareholders, by separate vote held at Aug (Ordinary General Assembly) of 2024. The mandate of both extends until 2026.
Rosangela Buzanelli Torres will also continue as representative of Petrobras employees in the Board of Directors, with a mandate until 2026.
