Update
A 7.2 magnitude earthquake on the Richter scale hit the coast of the New Britain region in Papua New Guinea, according to the European Mediterranean European seismological center (EMSC). It was an issued a warning of tsunami.
The shaking occurred at a depth of 49 kilometers, according to EMSC. The US Tsunamis Alert Center issued an alert.
