“Ukraine and the US could sign a Memorandum of Intentions on Thursday on the mineral agreement that the two countries are currently negotiating,” the president said.
The president has pushed for an agreement that will allow the United States to participate in the profits from Ukraine’s natural resources and critical minerals, in what he considers to be a retaliation for Washington’s military aid to Ukraine under his previous presidency.
“China helps Russia”
At the same time at the press conference, the Ukrainian President launched an attack on China and Russia. “Ukraine has information showing that China supplies artillery and gunpowder to Russia,” Volodimir Zelenski said.
In fact, he also revealed details about how China helps the Russians. “We believe that Chinese representatives are involved in the production of some weapons on Russia’s territory,” the Ukrainian president said. However, he did not specify whether he meant artillery systems or shells.
This claim is likely to disrupt the relations between Kiev and Beijing, which are already stretched by the publication of the arrest by Ukraine Chinese nationals fighting in favor of Russia.
China has so far tried to keep out the image of neutrality in the three -year war caused by Russia’s full -scale invasion of Ukraine. Ukraine has previously called on China to use its influence in Russia to push it to peace.
“We already have facts about this work of China and Russia to strengthen their defensive potential,” Zelenski said, expressing his frustration, as Chinese President Xi Jinping promised him that Beijing would not sell him.
“Russia continues blows to non -military infrastructure”
Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelenski said on Thursday that Russia has reduced its number of bumps in Ukrainian energy facilities, but is attacking non -military infrastructure instead.
Russia and Ukraine have agreed last month to one with US mediation, a 30 -day moratorium for military blows against energy infrastructure, but both sides have often accused each other for violating the moratorium.
Zelenskiy said at a press conference in Kiev that Russia is launching the same number of rockets and unmanned aircraft against Ukraine as well as before the ceasefire.
“They reduced their blows to energy, this is a fact,” Zelenskiy said.
“But I wanted to pay attention to it – Russia did not reduce the number of blows, this was the strategy … reducing (the blows to) energy, they hit other political infrastructure.”
